We Escaped to Plastic Beach for an Evening.
The Gorillaz gig in Oakland the other night was brilliant on every level - a visual/audio overload... I mean come on... you get the Britpop master (not sure he'll dig that title) and 2 members of The Clash rocking out to the coolest animation around ... We've always loved the concept and Jamie Hewlett's illustrations still look as current as they did when they launched. It seems an age since our "Britpop" days in London... you gotta hand it to the fella... Damon Albarn has done a fantastic job of remaining relevant. Great bloke.
