Me and Aussie Tom (web boffin) have constant wrangles over Marmite or Vegemite... but let's face facts... aside from being clearly a better yeast extract (nasty descriptor)... Marmite's brand takes a stance, not like that wussy Vegemite.
In a world of corporate blandness and pussyfooting around where trying to be everything to everyone rules ... the ongoing Marmite campaign of "You either love it or hate it" is great... It's a shame it's just another brand in the soulless Unilever portfolio... shame they don't possess Marmite's backbone across the board, and stop peddling crap. Maybe one day... the times they are a changing. Breaking news: On discovery that there's a Guinness Marmite, Tom is now questioning his allegiance.Having sold off his iconic Stüssy brand long ago... Shawn Stüssy (the godfather of street wear) is back from 14 years of chillin' and surfin' with a new hobby; S/Double. We've been loving helping him and his crew get things up and running down in sunny Santa Barbara. Having all proudly sported all kinds of Stüssy gear back in the day we were blown away to get to work hands on with SS... what a gent, he's the nicest ego-free fella. This is a chap who has never been afraid to stand for something. Get your mitts on his new clobber now at www.s-double.com... cheers for the nod on the "thanks" page gang.
Nice one geezer... gotta love this fellas drive and passion... his impact in the UK has been massive... hence why we're loving the fact he's bringing his mission Stateside... Here's the cheeky chap giving his TED Award speech earlier this year.
Tune into his Food Revolution on ABC (all episodes on ABC iPad app) ... and join the movement. Cook at home more using whole foods. Simple. Healthy. Change. Better still... eat Vegan a few days a week ; )
This is exactly why we started our own agency... to apply what we're good at to help make a difference to businesses trying to make a difference. We're not into being peddlers of nothingness. Call us. http://www.bcorporation.net/
Banksy = Witty, thought provoking, idea led street art anarchy. This chap has a backbone. I've been a fan of Banksy ever since I saw a little monkey wearing a sandwich board with "laugh now but one day we'll be in charge" written on it sprayed on the wall outside our local pub. Not knowing who the hell Banksy was I took a photo and made a T-shirt at the time... what can I say.. I liked the cut of the little monkey fella's jib. Go see the film "Exit Through The Gift Shop". Opens in here April 16th.
